CMC Pensarn Harbour is a Mountain Leader Training England approved provider. We offer summer Mountain Leader training and assessment courses.

Mountain Leader Training (Summer)

This six day practical course follows the mountain leader training syllabus - a nationally recognised award. It covers all the core skills required to safely lead walking groups in the UK hills and mountains under summer conditions. After a consolidation period of twelve months the scheme is completed by attending an assessment course. Prior to the course you must register with your home nation Mountain Training Board eg. Mountain Leader Training Wales and have an appropriately completed logbook. The course will include an overnight camp and night navigation exercise, emergency rope work and party management to name a few of the topics covered.
