CMC - Pensarn Harbour is in a fantastic location: nestled in between the vast unspoilt beaches of the Cambrian coast and the wild beauty of the Rhinog mountain range, the centre is truly in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. This ideally situated residential outdoor pursuits centre is on the waterfront of the river Artro estuary, enabling water sports activities to take place on site and we are within easy walking distance of the stunning Llandanwg beach and the village of Llanbedr. Mountain based and rock climbing activities are a short minibus ride away.
Established in 1966 CMC has been, for over 40 years, providing high quality outdoor residential courses and adventure holidays for many different types of groups, including church groups, youth groups and schools.
The centre can accommodate up to 54 people residentially, with 15 rooms of between 2 and 6 beds. All the rooms are en suite, and there is full central heating throughout. Our downstairs ensuite accommodation is suitable for people who use wheelchairs. If you are tired of cold "old style" outdoor residential centres and holidays, then we offer home cooked meals, warm accommodation and friendly, highly trained staff team who have chosen to serve you.
We have recently installed new floating pontoons and ramps to enable people of all abilities to access our new sailing and watersports fleets. These pontoons were extended for greater accessibility, at the start of the 2007 summer season. We are continuing to develop our watersport activities and fleets throughout the 2008 and into the 2009 season.
CMC Pensarn Harbour is an Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority approved centre. (Registration number L5103/R0191) We are also a Mountain Leader Training England approved training centre and a Welsh Canoe Association approved training centre.
